What Causes Soreness In The Breasts And Nipples?

I am a 62 year old female, healthy. Recently 3 days now first my left, then right the following night now both breasts outer area are extremely sore, and just now the nipple area on R as well. Have decreased and now quit one day Zoloft after a 2 month program due to low blood sugar

Considering your age and symptoms, it would be desirable to do ultrasound and mamography to rule out some serious issues. However, in most cases, this happens just as a consequence of nipple irritation or hormonal changes and less common there may be an abscess. But to be sure, it would be good to do ultrasound at least so that tumors are ruled out.
