What Causes Soreness In The Legs After Taking Losartan?

What is the side effect of losartan? when i researched the drug is says it is for hypertension which I do not have. My doctor put me on this because I am an insulin diabetic. Since I have been on it I am experiencing soreness in my legs, like I have been pushing weights.

Hello
Thanks for writing to us.

You need your potassium level checked. Ask your physician to do this. I believe losartan can waste potassium and when this is low you will get cramp and weakness in muscles.

Thanks
