What Causes Soreness In The Right Testicle And Lower Abdomen?
Do I have epididymitis? I was diagnosed with Chlaymdia in April. I was treated with antibiotics. And was tested again for Chlaymdia May (results came back negative) After the treatment I felt better. Then I started to develop soreness and disconfort in my right testicle and right side lower abdomen. Went back to the doctor. Recieved 10 day antibiotics and after treatment i felt better. This was about 4 weeks ago In the last 2 days, ive started to feel the same soreness and disconfort in my right side testical. Could this be epididymitis?? Even if i no longer have Chlaymdua infection??
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, this can be epididymoorchitis. It is infection, inflammation of testis and spermatic cord. Another possibility is hernia. So better to get done ultrasound examination of abdomen and scrotum. If this is hernia then you will need surgical repair. If this is infection then you will need higher antibiotic like levofloxacin or cefixime. Other bacteria (other than chlamydia) can also cause epididymoorchitis. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
