What Causes Soreness In The Tongue Despite Having Dry Mouth?

I have dry mouth and when i sleep it gets stuck to thr bottom of the mouth. My tongue is also sore and it hurts underneth and on side. My lower palate is also hurting. Why is this happening and this has been going on for 3 or 4 months now. I am really getting worried.

As per your complain Dry mouth along with soreness on the sides of tongue and pain on palate that is due to thinning and inflammation of mucous due to Dry mouth can be due to causes like:
-Severe dehydration
-Side effects of medications if you take any.
-Salivary gland dysfunction.
-Nerve damage supplying salivary glands.
-Oral infections like thrush.. 
-Sjogren's Syndrome..etc..

Consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and laboratory investigations can help in diagnosis and treatment of underlying cause can resolve the symptoms..

As of now -For dry mouth chew sugarfree chewing gums..
-Drink plenty of water.
-Avoid regular mouthwash and use specialized mouthwash that are formulated for dry mouth patients like Biotene..
-You can also instil artificial saliva drops..
-Suck tart candies as it also stimulate saliva flow..
