i just noticed a sore on the tip of my right thumb that appeared out of nowhere rather quickly. its whitish with a red ring around it. to me, the white has the aopearance of dead skin. the spot itself is about the diameter of the eraser on a pencil. when i touch it, it doesnt hurt. it feels like my thumb is just numb in that area. i havent hit it against anything so it cant be an injury. could it be a wart? or maybe ringworm??
As per your case history, you are suffering from Eczema.
My treatment advice is: 1. Do not scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, and oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
