What Causes Spasms Along The Spine?

I feel spasms along my spine especially mid back particularly when I bend and twist...like pressure and a squeezing...poking sensation ...cold numbness and tingling in feet and buttocks. I had been feeling these symptoms lightly for several weeks...all of a sudden today that got worse. I have IBS and sometimes those spasms make my back ache but this feels different.
