What Causes Spitting Of Brown Chunks After Brushing Teeth And Tongue?
Every time I brush my teeth and brush the very back of my tongue, some brown stuff comes out with the toothbrush. Later, when I proceed to spitting, more brown chunks come out with the saliva. I was wondering if this is normal or not? And if it isn t, what could it possibly be?
As per your query you have spitting of brown chunks after brushing teeth and tongue is because of gums inflammation which leads to blood spillage while brushing. Well this is not because of any underlying medical condition it is because of poor oral hygiene of your oral cavity that too chronic. This is mot normal as sooner gums will be recessed and will loose there normal position and leads to impact on tooth and ultimately jaw bone loss.
I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing and flossing. Use Difflam-C gel which is very good anti-inflammatory solution. Gargle with Cepacol Solution or listerine mouth wash. Visit periodontist once and get it examined properly. Scaling and root planning is required as of now. If deposits are very deep dentist will do curettage as well. Keep doing warm saline gargles. Use tongue scraper to remove these deposits and debris attached to them mildly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
