What Causes Sporadic Redness And Scaly Skin On The Hands?

I have a friend in Holland, The doctors there cannot diagnose the problem of her son, 28. He is experiencing a cycle. Every 5-6 weeks his hands become very red, with sheets of skin peeling off and the calluses from work disappearing. It lasts about 3 weeks, is painful, like hundreds of pins pricking him. The doctors in Holland said AMC ZH, whatever that is. They encouraged her to see if she could find anything out on her own. Do you have any suggestions?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In which area of hand does he have like white scaly peel off?
I suggest you to apply Coal tar on those areas and vitamin E.
I also suggest you to take consultation with dermatologist and take a allergic test.
