What Causes Spotting After Menstruation?

Okay so I had my period a week and a half ago. It was normal and on time. We ll today I started having some weird brown (bloody) spotting. I had some pretty rough sex this past weekend and multiple times each day not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have been on the nuva ring for 2 years now with no problems. What could the spotting be?

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

NuvaRing is 99% protective, still 10% chances of getting pregnant even if you use the ring properly. As you are complaining of brownish discharge post-sex,  nothing serious about it. It could be a sign of 1.vigorous sex 2. ovulation 3. an outcome of your impending periods coming in few days around.

Fresh blood is red in color, once they comes in contact with air, they become brown Color, which is absolutely normal.

I advice you to avoid deeper penetration if the same complaint persists.
