What Causes Spotting After Ovulation?

I am female and about 14 -17 days through my menstal cycle and started to spot bleeding after ovalution. I have been bleeding for 7 days now and it seems to not be stopping. Red with a bit of dark brown and not as heavy as my regular period. Should I be concerned?
