What Causes Spotting And Cramping After Having Intercourse?

Hi I am 25 years old I weight 125lb have a history if PCOS. My period lasted 5 days I stop bleeding for 1 day I though I was fine to have intercourse with my husband but right after we finished I went to the bathroom and blood came out again now I am cramping and spotting. It s that normal or did I have to wait more days to have sex? He ejaculated in me too

Hello,

When you have sex immediately after the period bleed stops there are high chances of bleeding or spotting as sex would activate the contractions in the uterus, and it would start to bleed out the residual blood which is totally a normal phenomenon but then if you tend to bleed in between the cycle after sex like on some day 10 or 20 that’s when you need to see your gynecologist and get evaluated with cervical screening.
