I m almost 9 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. About a month ago I had brown blood when I wiped and then it turned red with some mucus and a little bit of cramping called the doctor and they did a ultra sound and everything was ok and the bleeding stopped. I had a check up on the 29th of April and they did a pap and they said everything is fine but yesterday I had brown blood again only when I wiped and last night I had intercourse and this morning I had red blood with some clots and it went away all day up until I just went to the bathroom again and this time it was a good amount on the tissue and a long string of mucus. and I feel a little bit cramping not a lot but I know they are there

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
If the USG was normal with normal placental position, it is not low lolling or previa. Your complaint might be formation of lower segment of uterus, that is beginning of labor, which may take a few days. Please keep watching for baby movements. In case of profuse bleeding or severe and repeated bouts of pains, you need to rush to the hospital.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
