Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good day. I am approx 9 weeks pregnant. Last week i have spotting of coffe or brown bleeding with severe cramping and tonight i had cramps and when i went to the bathroom there was bright red blood. No blood clots. Should i be worried? Regards Worried
Hello dear I understand your concern Following are the causes of the spotting during the early pregnancy. Low progesterone and HCG hormone, vaginal infections, subchorionic bleeding due to fetal distress. I would advise to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal swab test, USG scan and reproductive hormone analysis. Doctor will give following advises: Progesterone and HCG supplements for low hormone level to maintain pregnancy. Take complete bed rest till the bleeding will disappear. Regular follow up by USG scan is advisable to know the progress of the pregnancy. Hope this may help you
