Dear M.D I have had the paragard IUD since december 2014 ...i have noticed A little spotting a day after sex ...IUD strings are intact..im Afebrile ... Im on Pentasa for colitis QID as well...I have had a normal PAP in April...perhaps its cervix irritation Thanks Alicia

No any contraceptive gives 100 percent protection. Kindly do urine pregnancy test. For confirmation consult with gynaecologist. She may procure ultrasound abdomen pelvis.
