What Causes Spotting Post Periods While On Nexplanon?
I have the nexplanon. I ve been off my period for about 3 days. Now when I go to the bathroom I have blood on the tissue after I wipe but no blood in underwear or in pee. Is this something I need to seek help or is it normal. My stomach also hurts and is a little sore.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Nexplanon is a small, soft and flexible birth control implant containing etonogestrel. Most common side effects encountered with its use include changes in menstrual bleeding patterns like experience longer or shorter bleeding during your periods or have no bleeding at all. The time between periods may vary, and in between periods you may also have spotting. Hence, what you could be experiencing might be the some of the side effects pertaining to menstrual bleeding. Stomach ache or discomfort is the other common side effect. These symptoms should gradually subside or might appear on and off till you have the implant, which you need to bear. In case these symptoms worsen or becomes bothersome, you may need to consult Gynecologist for its removal and choose other appropriate birth control measures which would suit you. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
