I am a 55yr old female who had a overy removed along with tubes 18 months ago since then I have on and off small amount of bleeding , I am through the menopause too so didn't think I should see any bleeding then about 8 months ago I thought I had a blood like discharge which smelt awful so tests were done and they confimed I have BV I had never heard of this before , one husband 27yrs no other sexual partners , 2 lots of antibiotics and although the smell has gone the small amout of blood reccures every other day what else could it be

I think you should do a colposcopy to examine collum uteri. Cervical cancer, infection or cervical polyp can give hemorrhage. Also an ultrasound should be done to check thickness of endometrium. It should be atrophy in your conditions. If it is hypertrophy, then there is a chance of adenocarcinoma or if it is benign, then only aspiration is needed.
