What Causes Spotting With Cramps Despite Implanon Usage?
Hi! I have had the implanon in for 5 years now. (Took it Out after 3 years and had it right back inserted. Which leaves me with a year left before removing it again.) My cycles are like clockwork and I have never had any pregnancy scares with the implanon. Until now.... my last cycle was the end of April and today is the 18th of june. I have been anxiously waiting for it to come but the only thing I have gotten has been an occasional brown spotting when I use the restroom and that has just started today. I have been tired more than usual. But at times I feel like my cycle is coming on because I will experience cramps but it hasn t. What do you think this could be?

Hi,
1. These are the probable side effects of implanon use, e.g. spotting or brown discharge.
2. But talking of other device like pills, hormones and patches they less likely cause spotting.
3. Wait for few more days your periods will come but if they doesn't then you can take Northisterne tablet for 5 days and then stop. Your periods will come.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
