Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m on O2 24/hr at all times. I was told I have a right Squishy lung, does this mean I have cancer cells in that lung. I am a retired RN but I had never had heard this terminology. I had a massive heart attack 4 years ago, lost very little lung because of my little baby aspirin, I was diagnosing myself. In my heart attack something from outside the RCA burst through the wall & caused the blockage. My dilemma is it squishy lung cancer???
Squishy soft lung tumors may be both benign or malignant. A biopsy from the lesion is the only definitive way to come to a definite diagnosis. Testing the level of some blood tumor markers may help in diagnosis. CEA is the most common blood tumor marker used in diagnosis of lung cancer.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
