What Causes Stabbing Pain Below Left Ribcage?
I m having sharp,stabbing pain in my left side about three inches below the ribcage. My left kidney was removed forty years ago, so I know it is not kidney infection. It is a deep internal pain. When I take a deep breath it hurts worse. When I lay down it subsides a little bit.

Stabing pain on left side below the cage of abdomen may be due to gastritis. If i have to treat such a patient i will advice cap omeprazole 20 three times a day, tab Buscopan three times a day, eno sachets three times a day and cap cefalexin 250mg three a day , to have bland diet , no chillies, no frieds, no drinks. I will advice for stool examination
