What Causes Stabbing Pain In Foot Along With Throbbing And Tingling?
Hi I sprained my ankle last friday. I have been to the doctors and had x-rays of my foot, ankle and knee which are all fine. However I am still really worried as I suffer from hypermobility syndrome and fibromyalgia. The doctor has said I need to go back in 2 weeks as it is too swollen and bruised to do anything with. I keep getting sharp stabbing pains in my foot as well as throbbing, tingling and in general a lot of pain and discomfort. I am walking on it with the aid of crutches but when I put pressure through it I can feel something popping inside my foot and I can feel it swelling inside my shoe. I cant use anti - inflammatory drugs due to allergies and am pregnant so it limits what I can take, do you have any advice on what you think I might have done and what I should do?
It is good to use crutch to take weight off the affected side.an ankle brace will lend additional help and support to ankle, wear it for 3 weeks, avoid walking and weight bearing on injured side. use anti-inflammatory gel like voltaren gel application, keep the foot raised and do toes drill.the sprain of ligaments around ankle is causing pain and swelling.Tramadol for severe pain may be used SOS if your doctor agrees.
