What Causes Stabbing Pain In Leg And Hip With History Of Having Hip Replacement?

Past couple of weeks getting worse. Severe stabbing pain going from sitting to standing position. Sort of came on fairly quickly. Had Left hip replaced 1 1/2 years ago. Hip is great. This is right leg/hip. Extremely painful when it happens it takes my breath away, can t move the leg, have to breathe deep and regroup when it happens. It s the groin/hip area.
