What Causes Stabbing Pain In Upper Right Sternum?
I am status p/o CABGx3 October 2004. I sometimes get a stabbing pain in my upper right sternum but it goes away for months. The las few days it feels like it is stabbing me every time I lift or twist my body, to the point of crying and then stays sore.

This sometimes happens in pleurisy or it could be some infection. Are you diabetic or hypertensive?
