What Causes Sticky Urine With Tingly Hands And Feet While On Fenofibrate?

Hello Doctor, My husband is 47 years old and has had really good health. All lab work has been normal, but he was taking Phenofibrate(?),for thick blood . Recently, he has lost 20 pounds purposefully and at 6 1 he weighs 230. What has me worried is he has sticky urine and now complains of tingly hand and feet. He is under a huge amount of stress at this time. Any idea what this could be? Our regular physician is on vacation this week. My email address is YYYY@YYYY . Thanks for your time . Lisa Smith

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Lisa, thank you for your question.

To rule out diabetes, which can cause such symptoms your husband needs to get his sugar level tested, fasting blood sugar level and accumulative blood sugar level.

Please refer to your regular physician, and to an endocrinologist for further check up.

Thank you.
