What Causes Stiff Leg Muscles, Sore Forearms And Pain In Elbows Radiating To Wrist?

What type of physician should I seek out for another opinion or more detailed review? I was told arthritis and tennis elbow by general practitioner. I m not confident the diagnosis is correct. Basic blood tests were normal except one panel for Lyme came back abnormal. BP 110 / 70 which is typical for me over several years. Male age 53. Symptoms onset over last few months. General lethargy / inability to get refreshed from sleeping. I have a general feeling of weakness, my leg muscles are very stiff when waking or after sitting, and in last few weeks, developed significant pain / soreness on top area of both forearms radiating pain from near the elbows roughly half way down the forearm towards the wrists when holding even lightweight objects. I don t have any joint pain anywhere....it all seems like stiff or painful muscles. No swelling and no fevers. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

After having gone through your history diligently I am of the opinion that you seem to be suffering from fibromyalgia apparently caused by Lyme disease.

It is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues.

I would recommend you to consult a physician for further evaluation and appropriate treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
