Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a sore, stiff neck in the last two weeks that went away. Then I had a pain in the should blade.... right side kind of stabbing and uncomfortable but not constant. Now on the right sternum I have the same type pain. I am wondering if there is some type of nerve issue causing this. In each location if I apply pressure the pain subsides. I have been under a lot of stress lately.
Sore throat and stiff neck seem to be unrelated to stabbing pain in sternum and pain in shoulder blade. Sore throat is likely to be due to infection in throat. Sternum and shoulder blade can be due to bone pain or referred pain. I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist and get X-ray chest.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
