What Causes Stiffness And Numbness In The Fingers While On Lisinopril?
I have had issues with swelling feet this summer. Dr. says vein issues with age. I wear compression socks when sitting for long--ok. But now, my fingers go numb at times and my arm falls asleep if I lay wrong at night and it wakes me up. I have stiff finger joints and it hurts to make a fist. My knees are also tender and sometimes are also swollen. I m 66 years old and take a low does of lisinipril for blood pressure which is under control. I have lost 10 + pounds in the last couple of months without dieting. Should I see my doctor again?
Non intentional weight loss should always be investigated, though it may be not due serious causes. Physical examination and blood tests are needed.Imaging may also be required. The stiffness and pain of your joints is likely due to arthritis but there are a number of different types example osteoarthritis, rheumatoid, lupus etc.
Hope I have answered your query.
