What Causes Stiffness And Pain In Neck Radiating Towards Shoulder?
I have had a stiff neck for going on a week now the pain is on my rear right side of my neck and shoots down into my rear right shoulder. It ios better in the morning after I have slept in the horizontal posirion, But after working it gets worse as the day goes on.
You should be evaluated for a condition called cervical radiculopathy. Diagnosis requires X-ray cervical spine (AP and lateral views) and if needed MRI of the same. Please consult your orthopedician. In mean time for alleviation of symptoms take Tablet diclofenac 50mg+paracetamol 325mg+chloroxazone 250mg twice daily after food, tab ranitidine 150mg half hour before food twice daily. Clinical data as to your gender and age is relevant. Please provide the same. If you're post menopausal woman I suggest you also supplement tablet calcium carbonate 500mg once in morning daily.
