I am 67. Rencently I have been experiencing stiffness and sometimes severe joint pain. Most times it gets better by the end of the day if I keep moving. Sometimes it hurts so bad. This is a recent development. I have taken meloxicam but am not sure that this is a good long-term solution. I am a bit overweight, but walk 2-5 miles a day.

Meloxicam is an antiinflammatory pain drug that may help in your pains. However, identifying the cause of the pain and think of any alternative treatment will be the best.Treatment options for joint pain smay include: different line of pain drugs depending on pain intensity, myorelaxants, steroid ocaccionally, physiotherapy, and surgery in some cases.I will advise you see the Doctor for investigation. In the meantime, you may: -Cintinue with meloxicam -Add a myorelaxant like miorel -Rest well -Regular fitness exercises Hope this will help Wish you good health
