Hi. I m 34 years old and enjoy various sports. I have been running and playing football over the last few days. After the football last knight my knee became quite stiff and this morning it is clicking from time to time. There was no impact on the knee therefore it is self inflicted somehow. I can walk on it with out too much hassle, it mainly sore whilst bending it. Regards P
Welcome to HCM i appreciate your concern about your health There can be many reason for popping and snapping of a joint. It can be an injury but as you dont recall any. it may be strain as you have been playing stressed game for few day and it does sores while bending.it may be a menisci tear,which are C shaped cartilages in between two bones of leg, or dislocation of small bone patella that is present in front of knee joint. At this age it cant be most probably any degenerative process as you have not experienced it before. take a pain killer like acetaminophen and calcium supplements.Massage keep your knee warm.see a doctor and get x ray done. Stay healthy
