What Causes Stiffness And Soreness In Calves, Upper Arms And Feet?
I havae had some partial seizures..take meds and am doing fine. I never knew I was having them. This past week my muscles in calfs, upper arms and feet are tight amd sore like after a bout of seizures. Could I be having seizures again and not know it
Tightness in the calves, upper arms and feet are indicative of simple partial seizure, neglect will cause bigger seizures to come. You are suggested to avoid triggers that cause your symptoms to manifest. The commonest trigger is stress. Avoid stress both physical and emotional. Stay away from undue tiredness, fatigue or dehydration. They may trigger seizures.
Do not take alcohol, avoid smoking, do not do drugs. Cut on caffeine intake gradually. Get clinically examined and continue to take the prescribed medicines as instructed by your local treating doctor. Keep yourself well hydrated. Take adequate amount of water and fluids. Dehydration and sodium-potassium depletion also triggers the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
