What Causes Stiffness In Collar Bone While Having Elevated ESR Level?
Hi Doc my ESR level showed I have inflammation, it has been few weeks now that my left shoulder is stiff and sore all the way to my collar bone, also my high gets sore, my foot and my jaw. I m taking anti inflammatory for relief but once the effect wears off I feel all the pain again. What s wrong with me?
You have frozen shoulder & stiffness radiating to collar bone. Now you have raised ESR & pain in the jaw & sore painful foot.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP to detect your active & passive range of movement. He may tell yu to get CT, MRI done to study minute details.
Get Blood tests & Urinalysis done to detect any rheumatod disease (OA & RA), you will be treated accordingly.
Massage is effective. Exercise under a physiotheraist will help to get relieve.
You can take NSAIDS for relieve. Corticosteroid therapy helps to reduce inflammation.
Raised ESR is indicative of inflammation but when ESR shows very high levels it may be indicative of some developing malignancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
