What Causes Stiffness In Joints Along With Severe Pain In Upper Back?

I was at a trampoline park about 3 weeks ago. I jumped off a platform - about 5ft high - onto another trampoline, but felt something in my upper back as I landed. I then couldn t jump without it hurting. For the next week, I was pretty stiff all over. Three weeks on, the muscle stiffness has subsided, however whenever I twist, or turn over in bed, or turn around to reach for something, I get severe pain in my upper back. I m female, 26, and pretty active. Should I go and get it checked out?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Helloa and welcome

Looking at your description you should consult your family physician or GP for physical examination and Baseline investigation like X Ray lower back.

Meanwhile I would advise you to take painkiller like acetaminophen or diclofenac with muscle relaxant like tizanidine or chorzoxazone

Hot fomentation and physiotherapy will add on to speedy recovery.
don't lift heavy weight and avoid sudden bending forward.

Hope I could answer your question.
please feel free to ask for further assistance,
Best wishes
