Hello,
Stiffness in the neck is commonly caused by sleeping without proper support, poor sleeping posture, OA, RA,
muscle strain, etc. You have history of having arthritis in the neck, arthritis may trigger
cervicogenic headache. Pain may also spread to the forehead, temple, area around the eyes and / or ears. This type of headache is caused due to an underlying disc, joint, muscle, or nerve disorder in the neck.
You are suggested to get clinically assessed and treated at the earliest. You may need a
cervical collar, physical or
heat therapy. Avoid refined carbs, sugars, fried or processed food. Cut on tobacco, alcohol or addictions if any. You can take
acetaminophen for relieve from pain. Take antacids along with it to avoid acid reflux.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
