What Causes Stiffness In The Knees After A Knee Replacement Surgery?

Hi ,I had a knee replacement on 3/20/2017,this is my 5th week of therapy,my numbers are good range of motion is at 120,,any way i have been having a very stiff and heavy knee ,it seam like i have cement on top of my knee ,,and a band tight around my knee,,is this is normal?

Hi,

The possible causes of stiffness in the knee may be due to infection or effusion or malposition of the prosthesis or scar formation or improper pain management etc.

Treatment like physical therapy or scar tissue removal or manipulation under anesthesia may useful.

Please consult your orthopedician, he will examine and find the cause for your problem and treat you accordingly.
