What Causes Stiffness In The Neck Along With Chest Pain?
I have had a stiff neck for 3 days. I can move my head 3/4 to the right, but only 1/4 to the left. Bending my head down toward my chest causes strain and pain. Mioving head toward the back also results in pain. My temp is 99.5; normally 97.2 Please advise. Thanks.
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. The most common cause of a stiff neck is muscle strain or soft tissue strain. It can be caused by awkward sleeping position, bad posture, sudden straining of the neck. It is very important to find out the cause so that it can be rectified. You can follow the following instructions to get relief. 1. Rest. 2. Hot or cold compress twice daily. 3. Over the counter painkiller like advil or naproxen. 4. Gentle stretching exercises of the neck. You can also take physical therapy. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
