What Causes Stinging Pain Around The IV Injection?

I had an IV in my forearm for a couple of says when I went into labor a week and 3 days ago. Now like couple inches away from where the IV is, it s very tender to the touch and I have slight pain that occurs when I move my arm or grab something and there s a knot in couple inches away from where the IV was. What coils be the cause to this?

You seem to have developed thrombophlebitis,which may occur after IV injections.Thrombosolv ointment would help..Visit your GP for physical examination and further management..Thanks
