What Causes Stinging Pain In The Nerve On The Foot?

The top of my foot has got a nerve that is stinging like fire. The pain comes and goes It hits hard for about 45 sec then it calms for abt 5-10 minutes This has been going on since I laid down for bed about30 minutes ago. It is disturbing my sleep as the throbbing or pulsing is painful. I hope you can help me

Stingling pain in foot may be because of nerve damage.
You have to chech your blood sugar level to know diabetes problem.
In diabetes neropathy is most common.

Something vitamins B12 deficient may cause stingling sensation .
Check your vitamin B12 level.

Alcohol abuse may cause neuropathy.
Avoid alcohol drinking.

Vascularitis means inflammation of blood vessels may cause this type of symptoms.
