What Causes Stinging Sensation In Lower Shaft And Foreskin Of Penis?

I have a warm/cool sensation in the lower shaft and foreskin of my penis. It feels like a slight stinging sensation. An example I could use is, it kind of feels like I put Icy Hot down there. My girlfriend does have genital herpes. I am going to get tested tomorrow. Does this sound herpes related?

Hello,

A few causes of stinging sensation on the lower shaft and foreskin of penis are herpes, chlamydia, human papilloma virus, trichomoniasis, allergic reaction to any soap or body wash, balanitis or in diabetes mellitus. You might have contracted herpes as your girlfriend has genital herpes. Consult your physician for this.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
