What Causes Stinging Sensation In The Penis And Itchy Thighs?

I have testicle dullness, tip of my penis stings and itches at times. The shaft of my erection is sensitive and stings a little. I was tested for STDs with negative results. I was prescribed Doxycycline for 10 days and actually felt like my symptoms were subsiding. I have been off for 3 days and have itchy thighs in addition to the symptoms listed above. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.
Thank you for writing to HCM.

The symptoms you have mentioned sound like a localised infection or a rash over the area.

A rash can occur due to itching or allergy. This is seen because of histamine. Histamine is a toxin which causes dilation of the blood vessels, itching, and redness. One may also notice some pain over the area.

Often, using calamine lotion, an ice compression, and keeping the penis dry can be useful. Some OTC antihistamines may be useful as well.

I hope this works for you! All the best.
