What Causes Stinging Sensation In Vaginal Area After Using Hair Removal Cream?
I just used a hair removal cream on my v for the first time and whenever my vagina gets in contact with water it hurts (stings). When I read the pack it said that it should not be used in genital areas.( i just read that when i was finished) I already washed my vagina with just water even though it stings. I m worried that it might cause a rash or something worse. The pain is like on the walls of my vagina . And I used Nair hair removal cream. Please help me. :(
You are right; these hair removal creams are not supposed to be applied in the genital areas. The genital areas are very sensitive areas. What might have happened is you may have destroyed the superficial epithelium or the lining or covering of the vagina, who could have protected your vagina area.
Do not worry; you have done the right thing by washing the area with just water. Please drink more water for the next 24 hours and flush out urine. The stinging sensation will be gone soon. You may apply plain aloe vera gel on the affected area to sooth it and help in faster recovery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
