Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I m a married male here 36 yrs old and mostly healthy. I had a non protected event with oral sex both mutual without total completion either way the week before Thanksgiving. About December 17 I had some slight stinging sensation at the tip of my Penis. Not really when I pee but after and sometimes last hours but very slight. No redness or swelling or dripping. I went to local Dr and got a z pack I took them with some extras I had. I took 10 250 MG pills in 5 days. should that cure chlamydia if I had it? I was done with the mess on Tuesday but still have the stinging.
These symptoms and signs are suggestive of STD especially if there is associated pain, fever, urethral discharge and recent sexual intercourse. So this is the first thing to rule out by doing STD testing. Second, it may be a sign of uroinfection or urinary stones and some other genital infection but this is less common.
In every case, antibiotic therapy may be required so the test should be done as soon as possible so that appropriate treatment can be started. Till that try to drink plenty of fluids, avoid sexual intercourse and rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
