What Causes Stinging Upper Abdominal Pain?

Pain in upper left quadrant. Ct, cbc, xray & urine all came bk gopd withno signs of anything wrong. Pain meds (one for spasms) given & seem to work. At least removed the most of the discomfort. Now my right side bothers me with stinging pains & internal itching. What is going on?

Hi. Given that you have had a normal CT scan and blood/urine tests, then I am reassured, especially with good relief of your symptoms with antispasmodic medication. However, you have now developed itching with ongoing pain. I would suggest you will need further biochemistry blood tests to look specifically at the liver and pancreatic profile with liver function tests and amylase level. You may also benefit from a gastroscopy to take a closer look at the lining of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum if your symptoms persist.
