What Causes Stitches Post A C-section To Come Undone And Poke?
I had a c section 7 weeks ago for a still birth. I had a stitch hanging out do the University I went to cut it but did not do a good job, it healed a couple weeks ago but now the stitch has poked back through and really opened my incision. I can also feel them poking me in other spots and it seems they are poking my uterus or internal areas as well, when I sit or when my pants are hitting the incision wrong it causes sharp pains and pokes inside and ok my outter incision line. How long do they take to dissolve? They didn t seem like dissolveable to me, it was a clear hard plastic like fishing line that has poked through. I m not sure what to do. Could they have put the wrong stitches in? It s very painful and after almost 2 months I want it to stop so I can get back to normal. Thank you.
Hi, Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. As per your history is concerned please visit nearest hospital and tell them to remove it totally and there is no problem at all it is superficial stitch which dose not dissolve at all and it is removed manually after 7 days of CS and take a full course of antibiotic. I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best. Thanks,
