What Causes Stomach Ache And Diarrhea Along With Dizziness?

My husband has stomach pain and diarrhea, which came on fairly suddenly 3 days ago. The initial episode was pretty dramatic. He is still having episodes, but more mild. He has a mild fever and some dizziness. He has eaten very little for the last three day. I suspect food poisoning, but how long would the symptoms last?

Hello
The association of stomach pain with diarrhoea considered as a high suspicion of food poisoning, especially if associated with vomiting and fever and if there's a history of eating a suspicious meal for the last days.
The duration of symptoms changes depending on the type of bacteria and the amount of bacteria in the food.
Your husband should be treated with metronidazole 500 mg three times daily at least for five days ,give him an antipyretic if he has a fever and an anti-diarrheal drug if he still having diarrhoea,.
Don't forget to keep him hydrated by drinking enough water and a warm soup will be helpful.
