What Causes Stomach Ache And Diarrhea When Diagnosed With Cirrhosis?
may husband was just diagnosed with cirrhosis he was released from the hospital in Brantford and told there was nothing else they could do for him there. He has a specialist appointment November 8. i m afraid by than he won t be here. My biggest concern is he won t eat hardly anything. He s lost about 40 pound and has lost all his muscle. Everytime he eats he gets a stomach ache and with in half and hour he has diarrhea. Lot of times he has the urge to pee but than can t. he s really weak and can t walk. Could you help me please

The liver is responsible for digestion and as it is hypofunctioning, there is anorexia, pain, nausea and diarrhea.
As protein needs to be tapered down from the diet (it is heavy for the liver to digest) so he is losing muscle mass.
Give him glucose water, get an iv cannula inserted and let some dr infuse glucose-rich fluids.
I am sorry to say that cirrhosis is an irreversible condition and you focus on improving his quality of life.
