What Causes Stomach Ache While On Amoxicillin And Motrin?

My 9 year old grandson was diagnosed with strept throat yesterday. He was prescribed Amoxicillin and is using Motrin for discomfort. He is taking fluids and urinating regularly, so dehydration is not a current concern. His biggest complaint is stomach pain and is unable to tolerate solid foods (cause nausea and vomiting). He has Aspergers and getting him to eat different foods is a huge challenge, thus he won t try soup, broth, etc, which would be nutritional for him at this time. What is the cause of the stomach pain and how should we handle eating given his situation?

@ Stomach ache is due to gastritis caused by amoxicillin and motrin .
@ Recommendations for his fast recovery
$ Addition of antacid as ranitidine (150)mg along with current medicines
$ Soft , light diet with preferable lemon juice , coconut water , rice ,
legumes , pulses , organic citrus fruits , butter milk etc.
$ Avoid all oily , non veg , spicy , beverages
