Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have been having stomach pain about an hour after a swim at an outdoor public pool. I ate some noodles afterwards, and it seems to be getting worse. It s coming in waves of pain and sometimes it s so bad I stop what I m doing and hold my stomach. Please help.
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your painful stomach.
Abdominal cholic (episodic pain) in your case seems to be because of food poisoning which you ate out door. Because you have not mentioned the exact place like right upper, lower abdomen. If it is associated with vomiting, diarrhea it can be food poisoning.
It can also be the renal cholic or biliary cholic if the associated symptoms are not there.
What you need to do is visit an ER and get your abdomen scanned ( ULTRASONOGRAPHY) done, during mean time you can take anti spasmodic medication for relief. Hope the answer to your query. Write to us and provide your feedback too in case further help is needed.
Regards Dr Muzaffar
