What Causes Stomach Bloating And Swollen Legs While On Prednisone?
My stomach is like a water melon and my legs look like huge ham hocks......will these horrible things go away after I am finished with my prescription of prednisone. I started with 12 a day then down one each day, only 3 and 2 and 1 left now. Why do they use this powerful drug if it causes so many problems. I am 2 or 3 times worse now then when I first went to the lung doctor.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have stomach bloating and swollen legs while on Prednisone . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to prednisone as its side effects . I would suggest you to consult your doctor for proper examination and rule out other conditions . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . For now eat light and non spicy , elevate your legs while sleeping and drink plenty of water .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
