What Causes Stomach Bloating And Vomiting After Taking Lisinopril 20 Mg?
Hi. I am 12 weeks pregnant and accidentally took one of my husbands lisinopril 20 mg pills instead of my diclegis. I felt very sick to my stomach and kept throwing up. I didn t realize that I had taken a lisinopril until I found a couple in my diclegis bottle over 12 hours later. I guess my husband dropped the bottle and the cap was off mine so he got the two bottles mixed up. I haven t told my OB yet. Do you think everything is okay?

This is very rare to have accidental consumption of Lisinopril in spite of
Dilegis, noted that you are pregnant and had persistent vomiting and feeling sick.
Lisinopril is used for hypertension and can cause uneasiness but not known to cause vomiting. But as the dictum goes in medical field anything is possible as side effect of a particular medicine.
It is imperative to see whether your blood pressure lowered or not.
Also it is very important to let your Gynecologist know about this.
If there is bloating of stomach the cause could have been intestinal infection or intolerance to some food or beverage you might have taken. This point is also to be remembered and discussed with your Doctor.
Have treatment if required as it is necessary to have pregnancy safe medicines. Hence do not self-treat at home.
