Hi there ... Yesterday I had some spicy chicken and shortly after had stomach cramps then hurled 5 times and brought it all up.Since this episode, (24-hrs ago) I haven t eaten all day yet for tea and toast fearing I ll throw-up or have stomach cramps again. Now, I feel extremely weak with an accelerated heart rate of 108 with BP at 100/72. Should I be concerned or visit the hospital?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the description you have posted, it appears that you are having 'acute gastritis' due to intake of spicy non-vegetarian food. Kindly take the following measures to overcome the same: 1. Take Tablet.Domperidone with Pantoprazole combination on empty stomach in the morning. 2. Take Liquid Anaesthetic-Antacid gel 3 to 4 times a day. 3. Drink oral rehydration solution (ORS) to overcome weakness. 4. Take semi-solid, soft and easily digestible bland diet for next 4 to 5 days. In case vomiting persists, you need to get admitted and treated with injections of anti-emetic and antacid medications along with intravenous fluid infusion, until the condition improves and you are able to tolerate orally. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
